birthday month

Oh, don’t worry. You didn’t miss it. I was born October 2nd officially, but no need to send a belated birthday blessing. Actually, you can still send me a birthday blessing, but it’s not belated. October is my birthday month. Yup, the whole month.
Somewhere along our 14+ years of marriage, it’s become our little joke. My birthday fell on a Friday this year. On Sunday, Irv commented about my wishes (cleaning the garage) for the afternoon activities… “Well, it is your birthday weekend.”
With appreciation for his kindness, I sweetly responded, “Actually, it’s all month, remember?”
We’ve been having so much fun, now you know why I’ve been such a poor blogger this month.
All in good fun.
I am having a great month. Thanks for asking. hehe.
My birthday was delightful.
October 2nd is an annual Holiday on the Salisbury Academy calender. Dad had to work, but I was determined to do something fun. I packed all the kiddos up and headed out for a birthday adventure to a pumpkin patch and fall festivities. The weather forecast called for rain, so my back up plan was to stop off at the Strong Museum. The sky was clear so we drove the 45 minutes. We all unpacked, geared up, and headed off. Isaac was bundled in his snowsuit as he doesn’t like rain, cold, or wind! With-in 15 minutes the rain began. I was thankful I brought my two huge golf umbrellas. Life with the Salisbury’s is always an adventure!

Irv blessed me with some shopping time and I acquired some new clothes. I don’t actually enjoy the shopping process (thanks Mom for helping). And, Eden Grace seemed to scream LOUDLY every time I entered a changing room. I had to explain the shopping rules to her…. no screaming.

I enjoyed a date out with Irv and Eden Grace at Simply Crepes. The big boys loaded the official number of candles onto a cake and lit them all! (Thankfully the smoke detectors didn’t alarm this time.) I savored the sweet serenading birthday songs from my dear loved ones throughout the day. Sweet emails, calls, messages, gifts, balloons and a special treat delivery from the Upper Crust.

notice the cupcake hair pretty... love it.
I thank God for His favor in blessing me with family and friends. I felt so loved!

oh those cookies are FANTASTIC!
I am glad your birthday was fun!
I too, have a birthday month.
My birthday is the 2nd and the month ends with Christmas. As far as I am concerned, December is the most magnificent month of the year. We celebrate over… and over… and over… and over…
